Dylusions met Dyan/ Dylusions with Dyan

Hallo allemaal,

Hier is deel twee van het mini retreat verslag.
Na een redelijk goede nachtrust en een heerlijk ontbijt zaten we om 9 uur allemaal met spanning te wachten op wat Dyan Reaveley ons zou gaan leren!
Nou, dat was voor veel mensen wel even schrikken! ^-^
We kregen allemaal een splinternieuwe Artjournal van Dyan. Wow, wat is die nog mooi en nieuw:

Here is the second part about the mini retreat! 
At 9 o'clock, after a reasonably good night rest and a deliciously yummy breakfast, we were all anxiously waiting for Dyan Reaveley to arrive and teach us something! 
And boy that took some people by surprise! ^-^
Dyan gave us all a brand new Artjournal. Wow, here it was still so new and shiny:

 Aan het eind van de dag zag hij er zo uit:

Als eerste moesten we een aantal pagina's uit de journal scheuren...slik...er ging een lichte paniek door de zaal. Maar hier was ik juist voor gekomen! lekker loslaten, niet bang zijn en gewoon DOEN!
En het werd nog erger! Daarna moesten we met wat Dylusion spray op de kaft sprayen!! En op een paar pagina's....en zelfs bij de buurvrouw in het boek! Help!! Heerlijk!
Toen iedereen bij zat te komen zei Dyan doodleuk: "Zo, nu is je boek toch helemaal veruineerd....dan maakt het niet uit wat je er verder mee doet! Je hoeft er niet meer voorzichtig mee te zijn!"

First, we had to rip out a few pages from the journal .... GASP!.... you could feel a slight panic going through the room. But this was what I had come for! To let go, to not be afraid, and just DO IT!
But wait! There's more! After brutaly maiming our artjournal we had to spray the cover with Dylusions!! And spray on a few pages .... and even in my neighbour's book! Help!! I love it! 
Then when everyone was recovering from all this, Dyan just said: "So, now your book is completely ruined.... now it doesn't matter anymore what you do with it! You don't have to be careful with it!"

De rest van de ochtend zijn we met de Dylusion sprays aan de slag gegaan:

Het was flink aanpoten, want Dyan geeft geen pauzes ^-^ Maar we hebben dan ook veel gedaan.
It was quite exhausting because Dyan doesn't do breaks ^-^ But then again, that meant we got a lot done.

 Het duurde niet lang of onze handen zaten helemaal onder de inkt:

Toen was het tijd voor een overheerlijke lunch (met soep en een broodje kroket)
Na de pauze zijn we vooral bezig geweest met de couture stempels van Dyan. Ze leerde ons hoe je de patronen in de stof moest tekenen, zodat het echte stof lijkt. De middag verliep dan ook wat rustiger.

And then it was time for a scrumptious  lunch (with soup and a traditional bread-and-kroket).
After the break, we mostly worked with Dyan's couture stamps. She taught us how to draw the fabric patterns, so that it looked like real fabric. The afternoon was slightly less crazy!

 

Dyan heeft bijna de hele middag op een stoel gestaan, zodat de dames achterin haar uitleg ook goed konden zien.

Dyan spent nearly the entire afternoon standing on top of her chair, so the ladies in the back of the room could  see her drawings perfectly as well. 

 Het was een vermoeiende maar heerlijke dag! Ik kreeg precies waarvoor ik kwam; ik ben nu niet meer zo bang om in mijn journal lekker dingen uit te proberen. Soms wordt het niet zo als je wilt, nou pech dan maar! Gewoon door gaan, het komt vast wel goed! En inderdaad!
Hier zijn nog een paar pagina's die we hebben gemaakt:

It was an exhausting but amazing day! I got exactly what I came for: no longer will I fear the blank page! I am now more confident to just go crazy and explore new techniques in my journal.  Sometimes it doesn't work out the way you want, well "tough luck"!  (as Dyan says).  Just keep going, and it will turn out fine! And indeed! Here are a few more pages we created:

(deze pagina mislukte aan alle kanten. Thuis heb ik hem afgemaakt...en toch is hij leuk geworden!)
 (this page didn't go as I wanted in every way possible. I finished it at home... and it turned out great!)

 Natuurlijk vroeg ik Dyan ook nog om een handtekening! En we hebben het uitgebreid over haar geweldige vintage kleding gehad.

Ofcourse, I had to ask Dyan for an autograph! And we talked in great length about her amazing vintage clothes!

 Wat een geweldig weekend was dit! Bedankt Kate en Dyan! Ik heb genoten!!
