Sweeping the room with a glance

Hallo allemaal,

Eindelijk de tijd gehad om deze pagina af te maken. Ik heb een tijdje moeten nadenken wat ik er verder mee zou doen. En toen dacht ik...nou, simpel...lekker veel belletjes en bubbels! Daar ben ik geloof ik wel dol op!
Ik had er nog veel meer op kunnen tekenen en stempelen. Maar soms is het ook de kunst van het weglaten!
Ik vind het eindresultaat erg leuk geworden.

Finaly I found the time to finish this project. It took me a while to figure out what to do with it. And then it came to me...ofcourse, simple...bubbles....and lots of them! I'm just crazy about bubbles and cirkles. IAt first I wanted to draw and stamp mor on the page, but I thought this was nice the way it looks now. Sometimes less is more! I realy love the endresult!

 En over cirkels en rondjes  gesproken; ik heb 3 atx's gemaakt voor onze atcstempel club. Het thema was rondjes/ cirkels....heerlijk dus. Misshien heb je ook zin om eens mee te doen! kijk dan even op onze atc stempelclub site!

And speaking about bubbles; I've made 3 atc's for our atcstampingclub.

Vorige week kwamen ook de Caran D"ache Neocolor II krijtjes binnen. (besteld bij Amazon.uk)
Wow!!! Alleen al mooi om naar te kijken!
Ik kan niet wachten om ze uit te proberen!! ^-^

I can't wait to try them out! ^-^

Artis en bloemen/ the Zoo and flowers

Hallo allemaal,

Mijn kinderen studeren alle twee in Amsterdam. Vroeger mochten ze dan voor een paar euro Artis in.
Maar tegenwoordig betalen studenten daar ook de volle mep. Ze zijn er dus ook al een hele tijd niet meer geweest. Maar nu het zo koud is komen er maar weinig bezoekers en hebben ze besloten dat studenten tijdelijk voor €3,- naar binnen mogen. Toevallig waren ze vanmiddag alletwee op tijd klaar, dus...op naar Artis!
Waarom dit verhaal? Nou, Ze hebben mijn fototoestel mee....dus kan ik geen foto's maken van het Harm-Jan en Tineke boekje, zoals ik in de vorige post beloofd had......
Maar goed, ik heb ook nog een kaart die ik jullie wil laten zien, dus dan doe ik die eerst!

My kids both go to the University of Amsterdam. Students used to be able to go to Artis (the Zoo in Amsterdam) for just a few euro's. But nowadays they have to pay  full admittance. So they haven't been for a while! But now it's way to cold overhere in Holland (it feels more like winter than spring) and there are almost no visitors. So now students can go to Artis for just €3,- And since they both were out early, they decided to go today!
Why this story? Well....they've taken my photocamera! So I can't make pictures of the little Harm-Jan en TIneke book I promised in my last post.. 
But fortunately I also have a card I wanted to show you, so the book will have to wait.

Deze kaart heb ik voor mijn beste vriendin gemaakt om haar een beetje op te fleuren voor een operatie.
Ik heb er een oude PSX stempel voor uit de kast gehaald. En de kaart ook heerlijk ouderwets in de  PSX-stijl gemaakt. Veel goud embossingpoeder en gescheurde randjes. Heerlijk om weer eens te doen.

I made this card for my girlfriend to cheer her up a little before her surgery.
I took out an oldie from PSX and made the card in PSX style. With lots of gold embosing and torn edges. Wonderful to stamp this way once more.

Growing up is optional

Hallo allemaal,

Eindelijk weer eens een blogpost.
Vorig jaar werkte ik nog 7 dagen in de week voor mijn stempelwinkel.
Nu is mijn winkel dicht en hoef ik niet meer te werken....maar op de een of andere manier is mijn agenda voller dan ooit. (wel met leuke visite en zo!)
De laatste twee weken heb ik haast niet gestempeld..... daar moest ik wat aan doen!
Gewoon tijd maken dus! En wat is het dan heerlijk om weer creatief bezig te zijn.......

Finally a new blogpost.
Last year I worked 7 days a week in my stampingshop. But now my shop is closed and I have all the time in the world.....but somehow my schedule is busier than ever. (all fun stuff!)
I have not stamped anything these last two weeks...so something had to be done!
I just had to make time to stamp! And you know, t's great to be so creative again.....

Ik begon gewoon met wat leuke Hema papiertjes uit te scheuren en op te plakkken.
I started sticking some torn paper (Hema) randomly on the pages.

En nu? Mmmm, misschien wat pastel acrylverf.....
Now what?Mmm, maybe some pastel acrylic paint....

Daarna gesso over een ruitjes-sjabloon gesmeerd, wat een leuk reliëf geeft.Had ik nog nooit gedaan, leuk!
Met een kwastje heb ik nog wat blauwe verf over de pagina gespetterd.
Then I smeared some gesso over a diamond template, wich gave a nice reliëf. I had never done this technique, it's fun!
I used a brush to splatter some blue paint over the page.

 
Een randje sponsen geeft de pagina altijd wat meer diepte. Ik heb Distress inkt Broken China daarvoor gebruikt.
To give the spread more depth, I sponged some Broken China Distressink along the edges.

Ik had nog wat schattige oude (herdruk) plaatjes liggen die ik erop heb geplakt. Et voilà :

Misschien ga ik voortaan de dag wel beginnen met wat stempelen.......lijkt me heerlijk.
Maybe I should start the day with some stamping from now on...wouldn't that be nice!

Panpastel kaart

Hallo allemaal,

Pauline's Hobbyparadijs in Heerhugowaard bestaat 10 jaar.

Daarom hebben ze deze week een feestje in de winkel.

Gisteren ben ik er natuurlijk even gaan kijken aangeschoven bij een leuke make&take.  

Pauline's Hobbyparadijs In Heerhugowaard is celebrating it's 10th anniversary.

So that means all kinds of festivities in the store.

Ofcourse I had to check it out and there was a fun make&take there yesterday.

Je kon deze kaart maken met panpastels en een mooie stempel van Penny Black.
Natuurlijk hadden ze ook een leuke aanbieding en dus heb ik meteen maar weer 6 kleurtjes meegenomen.

Ofcourse they had a great Pan Pastels offer, so I bought 6 new colours for myself.

Panpastels zijn echt heel simpel om mee te werken. Je hebt al snel een mooi resultaat....en zoals zoveel leuke technieken in ons hobby wereldje...is het zeeeer verslavend ^-^

Dream

Hallo allemaal,

Ik ben helemaal verslaafd aan de dylusions sprays! Heerlijk om mee te werken!
I am totaly addicted to Dylusions sprays!! I love working with them!

Op het achtergrondkaartje heb ik een reep schilderstape geplakt. plak het tape eerst een paar keer op je broek of zo, dan plakt het minder sterk op je papier.
De kaart heb ik met oranje, roze, groen en geel bespoten. (Lemon Zest, bubblegum pink, squeezed orange en fresh lime

I stuck a piece of maskingtape onto a card. What works best for me is to stick the tape on your trouwers a few times first , so it looses a bit of it's stickyness.
I sprayed the card with Lemon Zest, bubblegum pink, squeezed orange and fresh lime.

De tape heb ik er weer voorzichtig een eind afgetrokken, zodat ik de stempel van het slapende meisje (Crafty Secrets) op de rand kon stempelen.

I carefully removed a bit of the tape, so I could stamp the image of the sleeping girl ( Crafty Secrets) exactly on top of the white border.

Daarna heb ik het tape weer terug geplakt en de andere stempels erop afgedrukt. (bloemen: onbekend, vogels en vlinders van Heroarts).
Als je het tape er dan helemaal afhaalt, krijg je een mooie witte rand.

I stuck the tape back onto the card again and stamped the other images. (flowers: unknown, Birds and butterflies are from Heroarts)
Remove the tape again and you have a nice white border.

Op de rand heb ik het woord Dream gestempeld met losse alfabet stempels.
Daarna heb ik er een stuk organza lint er op geplakt en een bloempje met een roze splitpen vastgezet.
De afbeeldingen heb ik met potlood ingekleurd en het geheel is op een witte kaart geplakt.

I stamped the word Dream on the border with alphabet letters. Then I glued a piece of Organza onto the border and put a little flower with a brad on the left side. The images were colored in with coloring pencils. I then glued it all on a white card.

Lief he?
Isn't it cute?

Zo vind je nog eens wat / Look what I found!

Hallo allemaal,

Allereerst wil ik iedereen een heel fijn en creatief 2013 toewensen!
Dit komende jaar hoop ik weer lekker veel te stempelen, en dus ook regelmatig wat aan jullie te kunnen laten zien.
Hi everyone, First of all I want to wish all of you a good and creative 2013!
This year I will hopefully do a lot of stamping. I will be sure to show you guys some of my work from time to time.  

Ik heb al een tijdje geen kaarten meer gemaakt, ik ben zo druk bezig met mijn Artjournals....
Maar laatst moest ik een "welkom thuis" kaartje maken. En plots realiseerde ik me dat ik het kaarten maken toch wel erg mis.
Maar gelukkig heb ik dit jaar zeeën van tijd (als het goed is) dus ga ik er weer eens lekker mee aan de slag.

It's been a while since I made handstamped greetingcards, I've been so busy with my Artjournals....
But the other day I had to make a "welcome home"card and suddenly I realised that I realy miss stamping greetingcards. Fortunately I'll halve lots and lots of time for stamping this year!

Nu mijn stempelplek van de zolder naar beneden is verhuisd moet ik alles eens goed opruimen.
Ik kwam een map met ATC's tegen. Tjonge, wat heb ik dat een jaar of vijf geleden veel gedaan.
Ook weer iets om eens wat tijd aan te besteden.
Ik was toen lid van een groepje en we ruilden veel. Ik vond het erg leuk om te doen, maar doordat mijn winkeltje toen heel goed ging lopen, kwam ik gewoon niet meer zoveel aan toe. Misschien ga ik weer eens op zoek naar zo'n groep.
Hier zijn een paar oude ATC's die ik weer vond:

I moved my stamping-spot from the attic to the livingroom. So I had to do a lot of sorting. I found my old ordner with ATC's again. I realy loved makeing these, but it's been about five years sice I made these...so that's something I want to pick up again! (that's what happens when business goes so well haha)
I used to be a member of an ATC trading group.It was so much fun, I think I'll start looking for a new group to join this year!
