Kinderboekje / childrens book

Hallo allemaal,

Kennen jullie ze ook nog? Die Kluitman kinderboekjes zoals Harm Jan en Tieneke, of Bakkertje Deeg?
Deze boekjes koop je op rommelmarkten of bij de Kringloopwinkel voor een paar dubbeltjes.
En ze zijn heerlijk om een Artjournal in te maken.

This is an old childrensbook. You can by the at thriftshops or at carboot sales. They are realy cheap and wonderfull to work in.

De bladzijdes zijn wel heel poreus, dus je moet ze eerst met bv Gesso bewerken.
De onderstaande pagina's heb ik met acrylverf en Dylusion spray's bewerkt.
Daarna heb ik links zwarte gesso en rechts  witte gesso over een sjabloon besmeerd. Dit geeft mooie reliëf vierkantjes. De stempels zijn van Crafty Secrets.

The pages are absorbend so you have to Gesso them first.
The next spread I made with acrylic paint and Dylusion spray's. Then I used a Dylusion tamplate and som Gesso to get the reliëf squares. I used black gesso on the left page and white gesso on the right page.
The stamps are from Craft Secrets.

Soms plak ik de bladzijdes aan elkaar vast voor extra stevigheid.
Als het boekje vol is ga ik misschien de kaft ook bewerken...maar misschien laat ik ze ook wel gewoon zo. Is ook wel grappig denk ik.

I sometimes stick the pages together to make them thicker, sturdier.
When the book is finnished I might do something with the covers....but maybe I just leave them the way they are. Don't know yet, it might be funny.

Deze pagina's heb ik ook eerst met Gesso bewerkt. Daarna heb ik er diverse kleuren Dylusions op gespoten. Daarna heb ik een bloemenrand sjabloon van Dylusions er op gelegd en met distress inkt de rand gesponst. De stempels zijn van Dylusions, behalve de rondjes, die zijn van Tim Holz.

On the next spread I also used Gesso firts. Then I sprayed them with Dylusion sprays. I put a flower templeate (Dylusion also) in the corners and sponged some distresspaint, so I got a nice flower border.The stamps are by Dylusions, except for the circkles. They are by Tim Holz.

 Ik heb een nieuwe witte gelpen...eindelijk eentje die het echt goed doet: de Uni-ball Signo gelpen. (Stampin'up verkoopt ze ook) Dusdaar heb ik me heerlijk mee uitgeleefd!

I've got a new white gelpen...finaly one that realy works! The Uni-ball Signo gelpen. ( I know stampin'up sells them). So I've been having fun with that.

Met een klein tubetje goudverf heb ik wat accentjes aangebracht.
I used a little tube with goldpaint to create some nice accents.

Artis en bloemen/ the Zoo and flowers

Hallo allemaal,

Mijn kinderen studeren alle twee in Amsterdam. Vroeger mochten ze dan voor een paar euro Artis in.
Maar tegenwoordig betalen studenten daar ook de volle mep. Ze zijn er dus ook al een hele tijd niet meer geweest. Maar nu het zo koud is komen er maar weinig bezoekers en hebben ze besloten dat studenten tijdelijk voor €3,- naar binnen mogen. Toevallig waren ze vanmiddag alletwee op tijd klaar, dus...op naar Artis!
Waarom dit verhaal? Nou, Ze hebben mijn fototoestel mee....dus kan ik geen foto's maken van het Harm-Jan en Tineke boekje, zoals ik in de vorige post beloofd had......
Maar goed, ik heb ook nog een kaart die ik jullie wil laten zien, dus dan doe ik die eerst!

My kids both go to the University of Amsterdam. Students used to be able to go to Artis (the Zoo in Amsterdam) for just a few euro's. But nowadays they have to pay  full admittance. So they haven't been for a while! But now it's way to cold overhere in Holland (it feels more like winter than spring) and there are almost no visitors. So now students can go to Artis for just €3,- And since they both were out early, they decided to go today!
Why this story? Well....they've taken my photocamera! So I can't make pictures of the little Harm-Jan en TIneke book I promised in my last post.. 
But fortunately I also have a card I wanted to show you, so the book will have to wait.

Deze kaart heb ik voor mijn beste vriendin gemaakt om haar een beetje op te fleuren voor een operatie.
Ik heb er een oude PSX stempel voor uit de kast gehaald. En de kaart ook heerlijk ouderwets in de  PSX-stijl gemaakt. Veel goud embossingpoeder en gescheurde randjes. Heerlijk om weer eens te doen.

I made this card for my girlfriend to cheer her up a little before her surgery.
I took out an oldie from PSX and made the card in PSX style. With lots of gold embosing and torn edges. Wonderful to stamp this way once more.

Vorige week heb ik met Marjo lekker atc's zitten maken.
Ik wil toch wel wat te ruilen hebben op het Artspecially Event in Zeist!
Ik wil er natuurlijk goed reclame maken voor onze atcstempel-club.

De eerste twee zijn met gesso en een stencil gemaakt. Daarna heb ik er dylusion sprays over gedaan. De stempel was dacht ik van Artjourney.

Growing up is optional

Hallo allemaal,

Eindelijk weer eens een blogpost.
Vorig jaar werkte ik nog 7 dagen in de week voor mijn stempelwinkel.
Nu is mijn winkel dicht en hoef ik niet meer te werken....maar op de een of andere manier is mijn agenda voller dan ooit. (wel met leuke visite en zo!)
De laatste twee weken heb ik haast niet gestempeld..... daar moest ik wat aan doen!
Gewoon tijd maken dus! En wat is het dan heerlijk om weer creatief bezig te zijn.......

Finally a new blogpost.
Last year I worked 7 days a week in my stampingshop. But now my shop is closed and I have all the time in the world.....but somehow my schedule is busier than ever. (all fun stuff!)
I have not stamped anything these last two weeks...so something had to be done!
I just had to make time to stamp! And you know, t's great to be so creative again.....

Ik begon gewoon met wat leuke Hema papiertjes uit te scheuren en op te plakkken.
I started sticking some torn paper (Hema) randomly on the pages.

En nu? Mmmm, misschien wat pastel acrylverf.....
Now what?Mmm, maybe some pastel acrylic paint....

Daarna gesso over een ruitjes-sjabloon gesmeerd, wat een leuk reliëf geeft.Had ik nog nooit gedaan, leuk!
Met een kwastje heb ik nog wat blauwe verf over de pagina gespetterd.
Then I smeared some gesso over a diamond template, wich gave a nice reliëf. I had never done this technique, it's fun!
I used a brush to splatter some blue paint over the page.

 
Een randje sponsen geeft de pagina altijd wat meer diepte. Ik heb Distress inkt Broken China daarvoor gebruikt.
To give the spread more depth, I sponged some Broken China Distressink along the edges.

Ik had nog wat schattige oude (herdruk) plaatjes liggen die ik erop heb geplakt. Et voilà :

Misschien ga ik voortaan de dag wel beginnen met wat stempelen.......lijkt me heerlijk.

atc-stempelclub

Hallo allemaal,

Afgelopen week heb ik geen blogpost gemaakt. Ik was te druk bezig met een nieuw project.
Marjo en ik hebben een nieuw blog gemaakt.
De ATC-stempelclub!
We gaan ieder maand een swap organiseren. Als je mee wilt doen kan je 3 atc's maken met het thema van de maand. Aan het einde van de maand zullen Marjo en ik ervoor zorgen dat iedereen weer 3 andere atc's retour krijgt. (zie de spelregels op het atcstempelclub blog)

Deze maand (tot eind maart) is het thema: Blauw

Smashboeken / Smashbooks

Dit is nogal een lange post, maar ik wilde toch alle foto's laten zien....
This is a long post, but I wanted to share all the pictures with you.....

Al surfende op het internet, kwam ik steeds meer "Smashbooks" tegen. Een heerlijke mix tussen een simpel plakboek en scrappen. Ik heb altijd wel een soort plakboek bijgehouden....maar meestal loopt dat in het honderd als je een tijdje geen tijd hebt om alles netjes bij te houden. In een Smashbook hoeft de pagina er niet "netjes" uit te zien. Chronologische volgorde is ook niet nodig....je zet er toch de datum bij. En dan weet je echt nog wel wanneer het was.
While surfing the internet, I saw a lot of "Smashbooks" . They are a wonderful mix of a simpel scrapbook and scrapbooking as we know it now. I've always kept a scrapbook ....but when I'm pressed for time, I never finish it and find myself starting a new scrapbook, because too much time has passed. A Smashbook page doesn't have to be perfect or in chronological order. If you put the date on the page, you'll remember when it happend.

Ik heb meteen twee stukken karton van een doosje dat ik met de post kreeg op maat gesneden. (iets groter dan A4). Ze zijn beplakt met een stuk blauw cadeau-papier dat ik nog had. Op de voorkant heb ik met acrylverf vakjes geschilderd. Je ziet hier niks meer van het blauwe papier, maar de achterkaft heb ik gewoon blauw gelaten. De vakjes zijn daarna met leuke stempeltjes ingevuld.
So, I took two pieces of a cardboard box I received in the mail and cut them to size. (a little bit larger than A4). I covered them with some left over blue wrappingpaper. The frontcover I painted with acrylics. all kinds of squares. The squares are filled up with different stamps. I left the backcover blue.

Voor de sluiting heb ik een stuk borduurgaren genomen, waar ik kraaltjes aan geregen heb (van oude ketting). Op de voorkant heb ik een grote knoop vastgemaakt, waar het garen dan omheen gewikkeld kan worden.
De pagina's zijn van goedkoop maar leuk Action papier en af en toe zit er een pagina uit een atlas, bloemenboek of ander oud boek tussen. (die heb ik er speciaal voor gekocht op rommelmarkten)
I stuck a piece of embroidering thread with some beads (from old juwelry) to the back cove. And I adhered a large old button to the front cover. To close the book, simply wrap the thread around the buton. 
The pages are made from cheapscrap paper (A4) and a few pages from old books (Maps, pagess about plants, animals etc. I bought these books at flea markets)

 Iedere keer als ik nu een dagje weg ga, of naar de film ga, of iets anders leuks mee maak, bewaar ik bonnetjes, toegangskaartjes enz.
So now everytime I go to the movies or a daytrip and so on, I save all the ticketstubs and receits.


Deze pagina was van een weekendje bij Paulien. Ik had mijn Pogo printertje mee, zodat ik foto's die we maakten meteen uit kon printen (heel leuk speeltje). De pagina heb ik ter plekke gemaakt.

 Lekker goedkoop met zo'n voucher....en dan ontbijten voor €1,- bij IKEA.....(en natuurlijk zweedse gehaktballetjes als lunch)
We had a voucher for a cheap stay at the hotel.....and we had breakfast at IKEA for €1,-....(and ofcourse swedish meatballs for lunch)

Zoals je ziet kan je er zoveel tijd aan besteden als je wilt. Er zijn geen regels. Ligt er maar net aan waar je zin in hebt.
You can spend as much time as you wish on a spread. There are no rules. Just have fun.

Ik wil jullie ook nog even wat foto's laten zien van mijn Hello Kitty Smashbook.
Ik ben 47....maar helemaal gek van Hello Kitty. Tja, ik kan het niet helpen. Ik vind haar zo schattig en verzamel dus alles wat los en vast zit. Vaak heb ik nu dubbele labeltjes of stickers of zo. Ik kreeg gewoon zin om ze leuk in te plakken. Dus ben ik een speciaal Hello Kitty Smashbook gaan maken:

I'm 47...and a complete Hello Kitty junkie! I cant's help it, she is just so adorable (kawaii).
So I collect everything I can find. I often have double lables, stickers etc. I just felt like sticking them togehter in a book. So I made a special Hello Kitty Smashbook:

Every now and then I put some HK stationary paper in:

 De pagina's zijn niet meteen vol, af en toe vind ik weer een plaatje of sticker die leuk er bij past:
I don't finish a page at once. I just wait until I find another sticker or so that matches with the rest:

 Ach ja, zo blijf je lekker bezig he? Dit voelt echt lekker als knip en plak werkjes van vroeger. Wat is er heerlijker dan stickertjes opplakken? (zou het dan toch de leeftijd zijn?)
Oh well, it keeps me busy ! I feel like a little child....Is there anything better than putting your stickers on paper?! (maybe it's my age....)

 Heerlijk genieten dus!
Twee totaal verschillende Smashboeken, met alletwee hun eigen charme. Ik weet zeker dat ik er in de toekomst nog veel meer ga maken.
Pure joy! These are two totally different Smashbooks, but they both habve their charme.
I'm sure I'll be makeing lots more Smashbooks!

Panpastel kaart

Hallo allemaal,

Pauline's Hobbyparadijs in Heerhugowaard bestaat 10 jaar.

Daarom hebben ze deze week een feestje in de winkel.

Gisteren ben ik er natuurlijk even gaan kijken aangeschoven bij een leuke make&take.  

Pauline's Hobbyparadijs In Heerhugowaard is celebrating it's 10th anniversary.

So that means all kinds of festivities in the store.

Ofcourse I had to check it out and there was a fun make&take there yesterday.

Je kon deze kaart maken met panpastels en een mooie stempel van Penny Black.
Natuurlijk hadden ze ook een leuke aanbieding en dus heb ik meteen maar weer 6 kleurtjes meegenomen.

Ofcourse they had a great Pan Pastels offer, so I bought 6 new colours for myself.

Panpastels zijn echt heel simpel om mee te werken. Je hebt al snel een mooi resultaat....en zoals zoveel leuke technieken in ons hobby wereldje...is het zeeeer verslavend ^-^
